My Approach to Therapy

Having lived all over the world, I deeply empathize with the challenges that come from life’s unpredictable path. Often no amount of planning can predict what will be thrown our way. As such, I strive to create a supportive and open environment to help clients cope with uncertainty and change. I often rely on Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) techniques, solution-focused approach, and trauma-informed modalities. Clients describe me as warm and authentic in session. I take an active approach to therapy, providing gentle feedback, coaching, and clinical structure when helpful.

I have a special interest in working with anxiety disorders and panic and am particularly interested in supporting clients experiencing anxiety during the perinatal period. I’m also a trained couples and family therapist and work to support families through relationship concerns, family building, and grief and loss.  I have a passion for working with those navigating the journey to and through parenthood and have received advanced training in perinatal mental health.
