Anxiety, Depression, & OCD

  • Anxiety is the body’s natural way of preparing us to react to perceived threats in the environment. It is a normal, expected, and necessary emotion. Anxiety can become problematic when it feels overwhelming, persistent, uncontrollable, and interferes with everyday life.

As anxiety has many causes and can manifest in many ways, we believe in an integrative approach to treatment. Our therapists are trained in multiple effective modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Techniques, Exposure Based Therapy (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). • OCD is marked by the struggle with unwanted obsessive thoughts and/or compulsive disorders. Typically clients describe repetitive, distressing thoughts, images or urges, and engage in compulsions in an attempt to decrease their distress. This cycle can be all-consuming and often produces intense emotional suffering. Our team is trained in gold-standard approaches to treating OCD including Exposure and Responsive Prevention (ERP), ACT, and I-CBT.
