Parenting Support

Triple P is a preventatively oriented program based on 30 years of research - which aims to promote positive, caring relationships between parents and their children. Triple P exists to help parents develop effective management strategies for dealing with a variety of childhood behavioral and emotional problems and common developmental issues.

Each family starts with a thorough parenting assessment- which includes an initial interview and a range of assessments that measure different aspects of the parenting experience. We then decide together, based upon your goals and current challenges, the number of sessions and specific content appropriate for each family. Below are some examples of offerings:

  • Primary Care Triple P- 2 to 4 sessions of parent consultation for parents with relatively mild or discrete concerns regarding behavior or development.

  • Standard Triple P- 10 sessions of parent consultation for parents with several concerns about their child’s behavior or development. Standard includes active skills training, modeling, feedback, and homework tasks to generalize skills learned.

  • Enhanced Triple P- 5 to 6 sessions that extend the Standard curriculum and include a focus on partner communication, mood management, co-parenting challenges and/or coping with stress as a parent.
