Anxiety, Depression, and OCD

Anxiety is a normal and necessary emotional response that helps us prepare for perceived threats. However if your anxiety becomes overwhelming, persistent, uncontrollable, or impacts daily functioning, you may be experiencing an anxiety disorder.

We take an integrative approach to panic and anxiety treatment, drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities tailored to meet your goals. Our goal is to provide compassionate support and personalized strategies to manage anxiety symptoms and support clients with generalized anxiety disorders and panic. Our therapists are trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns associated with anxiety. We also integrate Mindfulness-Based Techniques to promote present-moment awareness and reduce stress. Additionally, we incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility and live in alignment with their values in the face of anxiety symptoms and defuse from anxiety triggers.

Depression Treatment

Recent research indicates that rates of depression have nearly tripled since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many individuals are grappling with feelings of hopelessness, persistent low mood, sleep disturbances, and challenges in their interpersonal relationships. At our practice, we prioritize evidence-based therapies tailored to address these depression symptoms and promote overall well-being.

Our providers specialize in evidence-based treatments, including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based therapies, and relational psychotherapy, to support clients in managing and alleviating clinical depressive symptoms. ACT helps clients cultivate psychological flexibility and commit to values-driven actions in the face of painful emotions. CBT focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns associated with depression. Mindfulness-based therapies promote present-moment awareness and reduce reactivity to distressing thoughts and emotions. Additionally, relational psychotherapy emphasizes the importance of healthy interpersonal connections in fostering emotional resilience. Your therapist will help devise an integrative treatment plan to best meet your needs.

Our goal is to empower clients to reduce symptoms, enhance well-being, and cultivate more easeful and meaningful lives. Whether you're experiencing depression or other mood-related challenges, our compassionate providers are here to support you on your journey toward improved mental health and resilience.

OCD Treatment

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterized by the experience of unwanted, intrusive thoughts, images, or urges, often accompanied by compulsive behaviors aimed at reducing distress. Individuals with OCD describe these thoughts and behaviors as distressing and time-consuming, impacting various aspects of their lives. This cycle of obsessions and compulsions can lead to significant emotional distress and functional impairment.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals struggling with OCD, empowering them to reduce symptoms, improve daily functioning, and reclaim their lives from the grip of obsessions and compulsions.

Our team is trained in specialized evidence-based treatments for OCD. We utilize gold-standard approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Inference-Based Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) to effectively address OCD symptoms. ERP involves gradual exposure to feared stimuli without engaging in compulsive rituals, helping individuals learn to tolerate distress and reduce compulsive behaviors. ACT promotes mindfulness and acceptance of intrusive thoughts while fostering behaviors aligned with personal values. I-CBT focuses on identifying and targeting the obsessional doubt associated with OCD.
