About Me
I’m Dr. Martine Jones, a clinical psychologist licensed in DC, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, New Mexico, and Ohio. I enjoy working with women who are pursuing the major life goals of their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. This includes navigating the challenges of singlehood and dating, building a career, and family building or creating a satisfying life of child-free living. I have a particular interest in supporting women through infertility and assisted reproduction, as I have my own infertility history and built my family through the help of assisted reproduction/IVF. I also provide consultations and testing for clients utilizing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). I also provided evidence-based treatment for anxiety and mood concerns during pregnancy.

Experience & Training
I earned my undergraduate degree business and marketing from the University of Florida. I pursued my Doctoral degree at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, where I focused my directed study on achieving wellness through positive psychology. This research significantly shapes my therapeutic approach, in which I emphasize clients’ strengths and wellness as opposed to pathology. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and am always looking for ways to improve my practice through continuing education and specialized training. I have pursued postgraduate training in perinatal mental health, EMDR, and third-party reproduction, providing consultation and testing for clients utilizing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) in collaboration with local fertility clinics, surrogacy agencies, and donor banks.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach to therapy involves the application of a variety of techniques that I have learned in my training, from my experience of over 10 years of practice, and through the wisdom I have gained in my own path towards wellness and greater fulfillment. In my sessions, I incorporate mindfulness-based practices, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT,) and EMDR for trauma, including perinatal and birth trauma. Essentially, I help you access your mind’s wisdom and your body’s wisdom to find greater peace and contentment, to heal in the present, and to learn how to care for yourself in the future.
My style is collaborative and active. My clients have described me as non-judgmental, down-to-earth, relatable, and authentic. I like to bring humor into sessions, when appropriate.
Focus Areas and Expertise
I specialize in women’s mental health, with a focus on perinatal and reproductive mental health. I provide therapy for clients experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), birth trauma, and infertility. I also enjoy supporting clients and helping them advocate for themselves through perimenopause and menopause. Finally, I love supporting clients in dating and partnering using a lens of attachment style.
I am trained in EMDR and able to provide consultations and testing for individuals utilizing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
