Coping During the Coronavirus- Strategy # 5

Connection

Living in a world reigned by social distancing can feel intensely isolating and dysregulating. We humans want to connect. We want to hug our friends, chat with our neighborhoods, and engage in chit-chat with the grocery store clerk. In many ways, we are fueled by social relationships. Social distancing is narrowing our ability to socialize, but I want to remind everyone that we can still prioritize our relationships.

Whether it’s sharing a drink via facetime with a friend, chatting with your neighbors from a far, or connecting with an old friend, finding ways to connect with others is a helpful and important way to ground yourself. Who did you connect with today? What is one way you could prioritize connection this week?
