Coping During the Coronavirus- Strategy #4

Self-Compassion

Self-compassion is an active, warm stance of acceptance and gentleness towards oneself. It asks us to acknowledge our shared humanity, our vulnerability, and our suffering with a kind, non-judgmental, and mindful perspective. We could all benefit from some self-compassion right now. None of us have lived through this before, no one knows how to do it “right.” If you have a tough moment, feel lost, or helpless, I would encourage you to meet your negative self-talk with self-compassion.
